Sketch of Amy Rose

Just a quick sketch I tried tonight. It’s Amy Rose from the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon. I tried to mimic the style of the show / video game, which seems to be:

• Huge Feet, usually with Huge Sneakers
• Huge Hands, usually with gloves
• Huge Eyes, usually connect in the center
• Tiny torso

Her shoes are slightly off, and her eyes don’t point quite right. Also the pinstripe on her right shoe was lost in an effort to give the shoe height. On the bright side, I found a subtle thing when drawing lines: slightly over extending them gives depth to the image. An easy to spot example of this is on her right wrist, where the collar of the glove meets the arm.
